- hello@version.cam, for anything, requests about your personal data included
Who may sign up
You sign up through a GitHub account, as a business or as a person who is at least 18 years old. If you sign up for an organisation, you confirm that you may bind it. The service is made for businesses; where you use it as a consumer, the law of your country gives you rights these terms do not take away.
The service
The service stores the recordings your CI publishes with versioncam publish, renders them, serves them at addresses that play the latest version, tells you when a clip stops matching your app, and reports on your pull requests through the Versioncam GitHub App. It never records your app itself: your CI does, with your own credentials, which never reach us.
The beta
While the beta is private, nothing is sold: Pro is given by hand to the accounts that ask, as thefront page says, and these terms apply to a plan that was given exactly as they apply to one that is paid for.
Your account
You sign in with GitHub. Who may see and manage a project follows from GitHub: whoever may read a repository where the Versioncam App is installed sees its project, whoever administers the repository changes it. You are responsible for who has access to your GitHub accounts, and for any project token or command-line token you make.
Your content
The recordings, their screens and the files rendered from them are yours. You give us the right to store, render and show them as your project's settings say (public, unlisted or private) and for no other purpose. You confirm that you may record and publish what your recordings show; if they show personal data, you are its controller and we process it for you under the data processing terms, which are part of these terms.
What may not be hosted
The service is for recordings of software you may record and publish. Not allowed on clips.version.cam or anywhere in the service: content that is illegal under the law of Slovenia or of the European Union; content that infringes someone else's rights, such as copyright, a trade mark or their privacy; recordings that show people you have no right to show; malware, or links to it; and files that are not recordings of your own product. Also not allowed: reaching for other customers' data, overloading the service on purpose, and getting around its limits. We decide what to remove by hand, never by an automated system.
Reporting a clip
If you believe a clip on clips.version.cam is illegal or breaks the rule above, write tohello@version.cam with: the clip's address; why you believe it is illegal or breaks the rule, naming the law or the right you rely on where you can; your name and e-mail address, unless the content concerns a sexual-abuse offence, where you may stay anonymous; and a sentence saying you believe in good faith that your report is accurate and complete. We confirm that it arrived, look at the clip, decide without undue delay and in any case within fourteen days, and tell you what we decided and why (Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, Article 16).
If we remove or restrict a clip, we tell the project's owner what was removed, why, which rule or law it broke, and how to object: by writing to the same address, where we answer the objection the same way (Article 17).
Plans and payment
The plans, what each one stores and sends, and their prices are on the front page and in the docs; the price at checkout is the price. Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, through Stripe; prices exclude VAT, which is added where it applies. A subscription renews until you cancel it in the billing portal; cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period. We tell you at least 30 days before a price changes, and a change never applies to a period you have already paid for. Refunds follow the refund policy.
When a plan ends
Your clips keep playing where they are embedded. What a lapsed plan no longer covers is what the plans say: new recordings of private projects beyond the free one are not stored, and versions older than the free plan keeps are kept for sixty more days, with two reminders, and then removed.
Deleting
Deleting a project in its settings removes its recordings, renders and history at once, and its files within minutes. The database keeps thirty days of point-in-time history, so a record deleted by mistake can be restored on request within thirty days; a deleted file cannot. You can download any version as a zip before you delete it.
Availability
We work to keep the service available and your data safe, but we do not promise it will never be interrupted, except where a separate agreement says so. Your recordings also remain in your own CI, so the service is never the only copy of your work.
Liability
The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or the rights a consumer has under the law of their country.
Ending the agreement
You may stop using the service and delete your projects at any time. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms, telling you why and how to object, and end it if the breach is not put right.
Law, and changes
These terms are governed by the law of Slovenia, and its courts decide disputes, except that a consumer may also rely on the law and the courts of their own country. We may change these terms with 30 days' notice to the e-mail address we have for your account; the version in force is always this page, last changed on2026-11-01.
